I'm getting the black screen so many of you have talked about for my new 6200 I just installed.
The release notes for the forceware 88.61 say we should unzip the files to a temporary location and then edit.
It's an exe file. How are we supposed to unzip it. I even looked in the directory it makes when you're installing it and the file we're told to edit isn't there.
Did anybody figure this out yet please?
Oh and yes I've updated my ticket with nVidia support. heh

The nVidia "work-around" for the Vista Beta driver
Never mind, I found the file that needed to be edited, it was just called slightly differently.
Turns out that this "fix" is moot though since the date in mine was already two months later than the one they tell us to change to. *sigh*
So I'm still stuck with a lovely 4 bit colour depth.

I was able to work around the black screen issue. Go to Nvidia's site and get the older drivers (87.45) and update your device through device manager to use this INF file.
Then, run the install for 88.61. I've ran it 3 times now and have avoided the black screen all 3 times.
Hope it helps..
